There's loads of great places to see and exciting things to do in Newcastle - and they're all just around the corner with Citysightseeing.
Central Station
Just a short walk along Westmorland Road is the hugely interactive Centre for Life, and Discovery Museum (great for kids!). The Grade I listed St.Marys Cathedral is opposite Central Station.
Grainger Town
Explore the recently refurbished 1830s sandstone splendour of Richard Grainger. Just hop off at either Clayton Street or Grainger Street.
Newgate Street
You simply must visit The Gate, the biggest entertainment complex in town: Housing a cinema, restaurants and pubs, it is not to be missed! China Town is also just around the corner too, and so is the historic Blackfriars Monastery.
St.James' Park
Sample the passion of the Geordie Nation, by heading to St.James Park, the home of Newcastle United Football Club. After a tour of the ground, relax in Shearers Bar, or head up to Leazes Park and unwind feeding the ducks.
Claremont Road
Hop off the tour at Claremont Road to sample a bit of history and culture. Close to this stop are three places of interest: Museum of Antiquities, the Shefton Museum, and also the Hatton Gallery.
Haymarket, Barras Bridge
As the tour winds around the top of the city centre, it passes the monolithic 1960s Civic Centre building - count the seahorses on its tower. This stop is also the perfect place for shoppers to jump off, as it is the top of Northumberland Street - a shoppers paradise!
Percy Street
If you hop off at Percy Street it is only a short walk into Eldon Square Bus Station - handy if you are catching a bus to elsewhere in the region.
Blackett Street
Newcastle has an enviable array of shops - and our Blackett Street stop is right at its centre! Just nip off here and browse the dozens of boutiques inside Eldon Square shopping centre or the Monument Mall if you dont believe me!
John Dobson Street
This stop is handy for viewing the works at the Laing Art Gallery. And just outside is Blue Carpet, designed by the award-winning Thomas Heatherwick. Note: This stop is observed by Blue Route only. On days when Blue Route does not run, Red Route serves it.
"The Biscuit Factory"
Served by the blue route, the Biscuit Factory is a wonderfully converted Art Gallery.
Lime Street & Seven Stories
Accessed by the Blue route, the Ouseburn Valley is home to Seven Stories (The Centre for Childrens Books), Ouseburn Farm and Stepney Bank Stables. Ouseburn is also home to The Cluny and Cumberland Arms - amongst the best live music venues in the region, and well worth the visit.
East Quayside (weekends only)
During weekends, our sightseeing buses have an additional bus stop at Wesley Square - really handy for the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the Sunday Quayside Market
Quayside, opposite Law Courts
The perfect place for a stroll along the banks of the Tyne, take in the splendour of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Visit the vibrant Sunday Market, and pick up a bargain.
Quayside, Guildhall
Have a stroll around Bessie Surtees House. Or take a wander around the historic Quayside area. Perhaps take in the wider area by hiring a bike from the Tourist Information Centre.
Baltic Square
Visit BALTIC - The Centre for Contemporary Art, regularly described as the Tate Modern of the north.
St.Mary's Square
Take in a performance at The Sage Gateshead music centre. The Heritage Centre for Gateshead is also just a short walk away.
Tyne Bridge
The world-famous symbol of Tyneside, our Red Tour crosses the Tyne Bridge. This is also the closest we come to Gateshead town centre.
Market Street
Our Market Street stop is just around the corner from the soaring Greys Monument and the stunning Theatre Royal. The Central Arcade, built in 1906, houses the main Tourist Information Centre. Relax in one of the pavement cafes.
Mosley Street
If bars and restaurants are your thing, then this is the place for you! Right next to our Mosley Street stop is the Bigg Market - the home of the trendiest bars in town. Bigg Market is also the traditional starting point for the Blaydon Races.
St.Nicholas' Street
Hop off the bus at this stop to discover the origins behind New Castle. This stop is also handy for the stunning St.Nicholas Cathedral and the Black Gate.
